SumWize is a growing library of free financial calculators built and operated by SumWize Calculators. Our mission is simple: you shouldn't need a finance degree, or an account, to understand your own money.
Most financial calculators are buried in a bank's sales funnel or wrapped in ads and jargon. SumWize is the opposite: every tool is quick, runs privately in your browser, and shows exactly how it reached its answer, from "how much home can I afford?" to "how long will my savings last?"
SumWize is developed and maintained in-house by the SumWize Calculators team. We're a small group focused on building clear, accurate, genuinely useful financial tools, and we're working toward full coverage of the questions people actually ask, across 14 categories and more than 190 calculators.

Our calculators are developed in-house and built on well-established, published financial formulas, the same time-value-of-money math taught in finance courses and used by lenders. Nothing is proprietary or hidden. For every calculator, we publish the exact formula, the assumptions it makes, and a worked example you can check by hand on our methodology page. If our math is ever off, we want to hear about it.
The results of our financial calculators are reviewed by a licensed financial advisor, who checks the formulas, assumptions, and worked examples for accuracy and real-world soundness. Reviewed calculators carry a note of when they were last checked. This review is part of how we keep the tools trustworthy, but it does not make the results personal financial advice, every person's situation is different, and the calculators are educational tools meant to inform your decisions, not replace a conversation with a professional who knows your full picture.

No. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser, and your inputs are never sent to a server or stored, unless you choose to create an account to save results, which is optional. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.
Every calculator is free for individuals, forever. We fund the work through paid plans for advisors and businesses, saved results, downloads, embeds, and lead capture, rather than by charging the people who just want a clear answer.
